Well, you get the "new" Fashion Star, which kicks off its second season Friday on NBC and CTV Two.
Helped along by celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos -- and prodded by new host and fashion journalist Louise Roe -- aspiring designers on Fashion Star compete to have their clothes purchased by real-life retailers.
And the public can purchase the winning clothes as soon as the buyer does (you don't even have to wait till the end of each episode, as was the case last year).
