Try and try again
We all noticed a change in Helen lately - the Big Brother house is really starting to wear her down. This week, her alliances were falling apart; there were even tears. Being up on the chopping block, she rallied hard to stay. She even told Andy that if he voted for her, he'd have a huge target on his back. Helen gets an A for Effort but unfortunately, it wasn't enough and she was voted out. We were left, instead, with a double competition with the jury members and housemates both battling to win Head of Household.
Eat meat or go home
The home chefs on MasterChef invaded Wolfgang Puck's kitchen this week where they had to fight it out cooking Chinese food. Sounds like a disaster? Well, it was. No one had much experience with Asian cooking. Krissi forgot to turn on the stove all together. Her team of Bri and James landed in the dreaded pressure test. The losing three had to cook the perfect calamari and vegetarian Bri wouldn't taste it to see if it was cooked through. This (understandable) move got her booted, once again, from the kitchen.
The five remaining teams on Amazing Race Canada were in La Belle Province this week where they made crepes, carved ice sculptures, and played lacrosse. Team Doctors seemed to get more annoying this episode, since all they do is complain and fight with each other. Brothers Cory and Jody struggled with the crepe challenge simply because they kept forgetting to plate all four crepes that were needed. The father and son duo of Team Tims fell super behind, yet again. They came in last place but were spared - for a second time - because it was a non-elimination week. Lucky guys.
I love you, regardless
Jessie met Brian on Facebook and after driving to meet him halfway in 2011, she was bummed when he bailed without explanation. Enter the Catfish crew. Turns out, Brian is who he says he is. So why did he ditch her a few years back? He has PTSD and had a flashback of being in Afghanistan on the way to meet her. To comfort himself, he wore his flak jacket. But when cops saw him sitting in his car and discovered a sawed-off shotgun broken down in his backpack, he was arrested. With it all out in the open, Jessie and Brian had a pretty happy ending.
Please, no placenta
The Kardashians are a bit over the top, we all know this. But this week on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it was all about the placenta. The family decided to discuss the benefits of eating the placenta after giving birth, with preggo Kim K stating she believes in it. She even asked their chef if she's ever cooked a placenta. "I want to have a third child just to eat the placenta," Kourtney chimed in. Umm, gross?
Power move: Jet and Dave wrote "Check the cannons" as a prank in the sand and Cory and Jody fell for it on The Amazing Race Canada. Woops!
Quote of the week: "Can you just leave me here?" Jessie asked Catfish hosts Nev and Max when it was time to say goodbye to Brian. Aww.
Fearless prediction: Why is Krissi still on MasterChef? I don't see it. But I can't help but think she'll at least make it into the final three.
Biggest surprise: Tim Sr. and Tim Jr. coming in last place, yet again, even when Team Doctors are at each other constantly and super mopey during the challenges on The Amazing Race Canada.
Where are they now: Maci Bookout from Teen Mom had one spin-off show on MTV. She flirted with ex-baby daddy Ryan drunk and is doing well in school. Teen Mom success story?
