Sandra Bullock showed off her hip-hop skills during an appearance on a U.K. TV show by joining in a rendition of the Sugarhill Gang's classic track Rapper's Delight.

Bullock appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday to discuss her latest film Gravity, revealing that she and co-star George Clooney frequently indulged in on-set rapping or made fun of director Alfonso Cuaron.

She told Ross, "We were either making fun of our director... who's a wonderful man from Mexico and we attempted the accent but it turned out a little Cuban... or we would rap off to an old rap song we both new from high school."

The Blind Side actress admitted she had originally learned the words to the Sugarhill Gang classic to impress a boy at school, before being persuaded by Ross to perform an impromptu rendition of the song, rapping the first verse over a backing track.

And Bullock was not the Hollywood star reliving their past on the show - Tom Hanks joined forces with her to recreate the iconic scene in his hit 1988 movie Big by playing Chopsticks on a giant "floor piano".
