When it comes to illegal downloading, HBO's heroic fantasy saga takes the crown again this year, followed by "Breaking Bad" and "The Walking Dead."

Torrentfreak.com estimates that each "Game of Thrones" episode aired in 2013 was downloaded an average of 5.9 million times worldwide. The show based on George R.R Martin's books has become slightly more popular with downloaders, as the number of downloads last year was an estimated 4.28 million per single episode.

The fifth-ranking show in 2012, "Breaking Bad" becomes the second most pirated show with 4.2 million illegal downloads (2.58 million the previous year). "The Walking Dead" was also massively downloaded this year with 3.6 million downloads (2.55 million in 2012).

"The Big Bang Theory" ranks fourth but the number of downloads increased from 3.2 to 3.4 million this year. The CBS comedy is followed by "Dexter" -- the only show that sees the number of clicks decrease, from 3.85 to 3,1 million this year -- and "How I Met Your Mother" with 3 million downloads.

Airing on USA Network since 2011, "Suits" enters the most pirated top 10 with 2.6 million downloads to take seventh place. "Vikings" (2.3 million) and "Arrow" (2.2 million) rank ninth and tenth.

Holding the eighth position on the list, "Homeland" holds steady with the same number of downloads recorded in 2012 (2.4 million).
