Leno lovers, your world is about to be turned upside down.

As the 60-year-old The Tonight Show welcomes its newest host, NBC has made it clear that a shakeup is in the making. Jimmy Fallon assumes Tonight Show desking duties on Feb. 17, leaving Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to take over from Jay Leno, while Fallon’s fellow Saturday Night Live alumni Seth Meyers inherits Late Night.

From the just-released first promo for the new Tonight Show, which moves from Los Angeles to New York, it’s clear NBC wants Fallon to maintain the slightly manic edge he gave Late Night. And no wonder – Fallon has made late night TV relevant to a younger, hipper demographic, and NBC would love to see that advertiser-beloved audience migrate to The Tonight Show. As for longtime Lenophiles... there’s always Matlock reruns.
