There's a "National Lampoon's Vacation" reunion in the works at ABC. Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo are on board for a series that the network is looking to produce.
While the two won't play their Griswold counterparts from the "Vacation" series of films, seeing them together on screen again would be something special. According to Deadline, Chase and D'Angelo will play a retired couple raising their grandchildren, even though they're really too selfish to.
A writer has not been hired to script the series, but executive producer Aaron Kaplan is hoping to have it ready for the 2015-2016 development season. Chase last appeared in the first four seasons of "Community," while D'Angelo's last TV credit was a recurring role on "Entourage."
