PASADENA, Calif. - Will Smith and U2 will be the first guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon's first Tonight Show, back in New York after decades in Los Angeles, will be on Feb. 17. He'll air a half-hour later than usual in his first week, because of NBC's coverage of the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Earlier on Sunday at the Television Critics Association tour, NBC chairman of entertainment Bob Greenblatt announced that when Jay Leno leaves The Tonight Show on Feb. 6, the final guests will be Billy Crystal and Garth Brooks.

Fallon will appear with Leno for a passing of the baton on The Tonight Show on Feb. 3.

Greenblatt said he would love to keep Leno in the NBC family, although there have been rumours of Leno possibly going to Fox. Of course, when Conan O'Brien took over The Tonight Show, Leno was given a 10 p.m. show, essentially cutting O'Brien's legs off.

Fallon claims he has a great relationship with Leno, and that Leno has provided lots of advice. When Fallon was asked if he's worried about where Leno may end up, Fallon said, “No. I'm not his agent. He could be a new detective on The Blacklist.”

Regarding the specific Leno-O'Brien brouhaha, Tonight Show producer Josh Lieb said, “I don't think they'll do that to anybody ever again.”

Seth Meyers moves into Fallon's old Late Night slot on Feb. 24. Meyers' first guest will be Amy Poehler.
