Actress Janet Hubert has opened up about the various health issues which have prevented her from working for the past several years.
The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star was fired from the U.S. TV series in 1993.
Following her departure, she starred in several TV shows and movies, but claims her medical issues, which began in 2004, have prevented from working as much as she would like.
She tells RadarOnline.com, "There is a lot going on, health-wise. I have had a lot of issues over the years..."
Hubert explains her troubles started in 2004, when she was treated for military neck, a deformity in the natural curvature of the cervical spine structure.
Since the procedure, the actress has suffered from "vertigo, intense pain in her face, a chattering jaw, severe reactions to sound and light, body stiffness and intense spasms."
Over the years, she sought treatment for the various issues, but claims she has been forced to stop after executives at the American Federation of Television and Radio Acts and the AFTRA Health Fund halted payment for the procedures.
She is currently locked in a legal battle with bosses at the organizations after suing them last year.
The actress claims she has been "unable to afford continuous treatments" and has been "unable to accept numerous jobs".
Hubert is seeking unpaid benefits, attorney’s fees and costs, reimbursement for past treatments and an order directing payment for future treatments.
