Because there's no way you can have a crazy shark storm without the chainsaw-wielding man to combat them, Syfy announced Thursday (Jan. 30) that Ian Ziering, along with Tara Reid, will reprise their roles in the "Sharknado" sequel, cleverly titled "Sharknado 2: The Second One."
Returning as Fin and April, Ziering and Reid will take on a deadly Sharknado as it descends upon the people and iconic locations of New York City. So, get ready for some more awful incredible CGI action involving sharks and the Empire State Building.
"'Sharknado' was an extraordinary 'perfect storm' which captured the attention of movie fans across the globe," Thomas Vitale, executive vice president of programming and original movies at Syfy, says in a statement. "You couldn't go anywhere without hearing about 'Sharknado'! By reassembling the creative team -- and dropping sharks onto New York's iconic sites -- we're unleashing yet another 'fin' wave of shark-mania."
"Sharknado 2" begins filming in New York on Feb. 13, with a scheduled premiere on Syfy in Jufy.
