Rachel Frederickson was the biggest loser – by a long shot.
When the contestant revealed her new body for the final weigh-in on NBC’s weightloss reality show competition Tuesday night, the crowd and TV audience could barely recognize her.
Frederickson, 24-year-old former high school swimmer, lost a grand total of 155 pounds – a record breaking 59.62 percent of her body weight. She is now 105 pounds, going from a size 20 to a size 0/2, easily beating out her competitors for the $250,000 grand prize.
But not everyone was happy with the weight-loss. Before too long, fans of the show began to worry about Frederickson’s health, claiming she looked like she had an eating disorder and blasting NBC for letting it happen.
The Biggest Loser winner is the very picture of anorexia, an affliction whose lifeblood is attention. Nice job, NBC. http://t.co/ZTAEIogh9r— Jacob Ward (@_jacobward_) February 5, 2014

Some critics pointed out that, at 5’4, she is now underweight and questioned whether the producers did enough to prepare her for life outside the watchful eye of the show’s physicians.
Frederickson, at least, was happy with herself after the show and talked about her inner transformation.
“I lost that athlete, I lost that inner confidence, that self-worth,” Frederickson said. “Throughout the season I started to find that girl again.”
