Chloe Sevigny says her dark new series Those Who Kill feels almost refreshing, given what she went through on Big Love.

“I remember when I was doing Big Love (2006-11), everybody was yelling at my character (Nicki) all day,” Sevigny said. “That was even worse (than Those Who Kill), because everyone thought I was the bad guy and that was painful.

“But I don't know. You turn it off when you go home at night and just try to not to bring the work home with you. James (D'Arcy, Sevigny's co-star in Those Who Kill) and I helped each other through that a lot.”

Those Who Kill is a 10-episode serialized drama set in Pittsburgh that debuts Monday, March 3 on A&E. Sevigny plays Catherine Jensen, a recently promoted homicide detective who tracks down serial killers and is seeking the truth behind the disappearance of her brother.

“(Catherine) is so complex and she's in so much pain and she's just trying to find her way out of this darkness by any means necessary,” Sevigny said.

But at least people aren't yelling at her all day.
