Narcissist or misunderstood? Whether you hate him or love him, Juan Pablo Galavis brought the drama, tears and controversy all season long and ended his quest for love with a whirlwind spectacle Monday night.

No ring. No three little words. No fairy tale ending. And an announcement that Andi Dorfman will begin her quest for love as the new bachelorette.

Chris Harrison hosted the three-hour special, weighing in on the drama and questioning Juan Pablo about his actions this season. But Juan refused to own up to anything.

First, in gorgeous St. Lucia, both remaining ladies, Clare Crawley and Nikki Ferrell were given a chance to meet Juan Pablo’s family, who he had flown in for the occasion. But the girls were greeted with red flags from his Venezuelan family, who warned the two about JP.

Juan’s cousin Rodolfo admitted to Nikki that her Latin lover is quick to walk away when things get rough in relationships and his mother told Clare that her son is often extremely rude. The two girls, overlooked their cautions, gushing about their man. They should have paid attention to the warning signs.

On their last date with Juan before the final rose ceremony, things went south quickly and both women were left in tears.

After flying around the island in a helicopter with Clare, Juan leaned in without cameras or microphones on and insulted her with sexual remarks.

“Every single woman deserves to be treated with respect. I am not an object,” she stated, upset.

She confronted Juan later that night, but he seemed confused that he had done anything wrong, talking in circles. In true Juan Pablo fashion, the bachelor was able to charm his way back into Clare’s good books and she forgave him.

On the next date with Nikki, the blonde seemed unsatisfied after she shared a personal card with Juan stating her feelings for him with the words “I Love You” written at the bottom. He didn’t respond but rather kissed her and left. She broke down on the couch, sobbing.

Things took an even more dramatic turn at the final rose ceremony.

Juan took Clare by the hand and casually told her that he had to say goodbye. When he went in for a hug, she held him back. “I thought I knew what kind of man you were. I lost respect for you,” she snapped. “I would never want my children to have a father like you.”

She left on a boat in tears.

Nikki arrived in a gorgeous royal blue dress and Juan shockingly admitted that he liked Nikki a lot, but there would be no proposal.

“I have a ring in my pocket but I’m not going to use it,” Juan acknowledged.

Nikki looked crushed but she accepted the final rose anyway. “Don’t get cranky,” he warned her as the camera zoomed out on the two.

At the live After the Final Rose special, things got even more awkward. Juan Pablo took a turn in the hot seat and shared that he had no regrets this season.

“At the end of the day, I thought that I made the decision that was right for me. It is what it is,” Juan stated.

Nikki and Juan appeared together cuddling on the couch and admitted that they are still together, but Juan refused to say he loves his new girlfriend, taking shots at Chris for trying to force him to. The couple refused to share any information on where their relationship is headed, which frustrated Chris.

“Twelve years I’ve been doing this, this is a Bachelor first,” Chis concluded.

The next season of the Bachelorette premieres May 19.
