Now with an average 18.4 million viewers, the fantasy series has become HBO's most watched show of all time.
Its fourth season isn't over yet, but "Game of Thrones" has already bested "The Sopranos" by a margin of 200,000 viewers. The epic fantasy drama has thus become the most-watched series in HBO history, a title held by the mafia drama since 2002.
"Game of Thrones" has picked up 400,000 additional viewers compared to 2013, and the two final episodes of the current season, slated to air June 8 and 15, could likely push audience ratings to a new peak.
"Game of Thrones" is adapted from R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series.
