After appearing in Fringe and in the current CBS series Reckless, Georgina Haig will play the Princess of Arendelle in the fourth season of ABC's fairy tale series, according to TV Line.

Seen only from behind in the season three finale of Once Upon a Time, the character Elsa, taken from Disney's animated feature Frozen, will finally show her face in the fourth season.

The powerful ruler of the Kingdom of Arendelle will be played by Georgina Haig, the Australian actress who broke through in her role on Fringe as Etta, Olivia and Peter's daughter.

As in Disney's recent film Frozen, the character has the ability to command snow and ice, but she has trouble mastering her powers. She comes to realize that it is through love, namely for her sister, that she is able to master her talent.

The 28-year-old actress joins a cast led by Jennifer Morrison in the role of Emma Swan, the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Haig joins fellow new additions Elizabeth Lail in the role of Emma's sister Anna and Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff, a mountain man who is close to both princesses.

Written by two former Lost producers and screenwriters, Once Upon a Time was one of the most successful new series introduced in 2011, with more than 11.7 million viewers.

The fourth season is slated to premiere on ABC in September.
