Rachel Plencner has bid happy trails to the 'Big Brother' house. The 33-year-old horse breeder from Colorado was sent packing by a unanimous vote on the live eviction show last night.
With Rachel becoming the second person on the 'Big Brother 6' jury and April winning the Head of Household title, it looks more and more like the last shots in the civil war in the 'Big Brother' house will be fired by The Disciples Alliance unless the remaining Outcasts (Howie and Janelle) can pull off a string of HOH victories or April decides to target James.
Everything started to unravel for The Outcasts several weeks ago when Rachel's partner in the game - Howie Gordon - made one of the dumbest plays in 'Big Brother' history as HOH by nominating two of his own alliance members for eviction based on his unfounded mistrust of them. Rachel acknowledged the crucial error in her post-eviction chat with host Julie Chen.
"I truly believe I am sitting here because Howie nominated James and Sarah. I truly believe that," said Rachel. "I think it just changed the whole game."
Rachel was also at a loss to describe Howie's behaviour in the house over the last couple of weeks. Recognizing that she was the least emotionally stable personality in The Disciples Alliance, Howie had begun to target April with verbal onslaughts by insulting her family and her inability to win competitions at every opportunity. Howie has since abandoned the strategy.
"I don't know how to explain Howie's behaviour. He was very unhappy. He took it very personally and I think he was just expressing himself. I don't have an answer for it," Rachel told Chen also saying that in spending time with Howie in the house she has learned how truly giving and caring he can be.
While everyone else has positive goodbye messages for Rachel, Ivette Corredero lashed out at Rachel in her's.
"Your behaviour in this house is out of control. You have left me speechless with my mouth dropped. I have never seen such poor sportsmanship like that carried by yourself," Ivette told Rachel in her videotaped statement.
"I don't know what happened with Ivette," Rachel responded after viewing the footage. "Ivette may have some issues and quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised to see her very soon."
April won the Head of Household title by edging out Janelle in the finals of another in a long line of HOH challenges involving trivia questions about the 'Big Brother' house and the game. In their tiebreaker, both Janelle and April wrote their answers on one-sided chalkboards. Controversy had erupted during the last tiebreaker challenge when Janelle flip-flopped her answers on a two-sided marker board.
With Rachel gone, Beau and Ivette are the only original secret partnership left standing in the 'Big Brother' house. If Beau and Ivette become the final two, they are in contention for the special one million dollar prize for making it to the end as a pair.
April's nominations for eviction as well the America's Choice winner for a phone call from home will air on next Tuesday's episode. Viewers can text message their votes in at a price or vote on the official 'Big Brother 6' Web site.
