The Force was with Janelle. Outnumbered as the last remaining member of The Outcasts Alliance, Janelle Pierzina, the 25-year-old cocktail waitress, won the Head of Household title on the live eviction broadcast and guaranteed herself a spot in the final three.
In a before or after trivia competition regarding events in the 'Big Brother' house, Janelle beat Disciples Alliance members Maggie Ausburn and April Lewis by answering every single question correctly.
"I did it, Howie! I'm in the final three!," Janelle screamed as she celebrated. Howie, the resident Jedi Master of the 'Big Brother' house and Janelle's alliance partner was voted out earlier in the evening when Head of Household - Ivette Corredero - broke a tie vote. Maggie had voted against Howie staying and Janelle cast her ballot to keep him in the game.
"Howie, you brought me so many laughs in this house. You have great friends in this house and you have done so much but unfortunately, I have to evict you," said Ivette as she cast her vote.
During his chat with host Julie Chen on the Couch of Shame, Howie admitted that he made one of the biggest strategic mistakes in 'Big Brother' history when he nominated Outcast Alliance members Sarah and James for eviction during his first reign as Head of Household.
"At one point, you had a strong alliance of six. What happened?," Chen asked.
"James. I thought I had a solid alliance with the Soverign Six. Whether James and Sarah were coming after me or not, I couldn't take a shot at James blindsiding me. I felt it was the move to go after him and it went downhill from there," Howie replied.
Howie gave credit to The Disciples for beating him in the game and compared their victory to the film 'Revenge of The Nerds'.
"We always said they weren't as smart as us. They weren't as physically competitive as we were. I am here and they are still in there. Yeah, I got beat by a Nerd Herd but you all saw the movie. It is coming true again. They played a better game than me and that is why I am here now," said Howie claiming that Janelle is the best overall competitor left in the house and would win the entire game.
Janelle's nominations for eviction will be broadcast on Saturday's episode which airs at a special time of 10:00 p.m. EDT. As per another America's Choice vote, the remaining HouseGuests will also find out at that time who will get to leave the house for a day and visit the set of the 'Two and a Half Men' CBS television show. With the debut of 'Survivor Guatemala' next week, 'Big Brother' will hold its eviction show on Tuesday instead of Thursday.
