The infamous Danielle 'The Devil' Reyes is one of 20 former 'Big Brother' HouseGuests who could have the chance to play the game a second time. |
RealNetworks is promising a bigger and better ‘Big Brother' experience.
For this year’s ‘All-Stars’ series, RealNetworks has announced that they are beefing up their service to include ‘Big Brother’ specific blogs, chat rooms, message boards, weekly polls, and exclusive information on the show and houseguests.
As in the past, RealNetworks is offering exclusive 24-hour-a-day streaming video from the ‘Big Brother’ house, allowing fans to watch the HouseGuests live every day. The service is available through RealNetworks’ SuperPass subscription service.
Those thinking of signing up need to be aware though that in order to preserve the drama for television viewers, CBS may block or delay the webcast for a limited number of real-time events that transpire in the house as they did a couple of times last year. Also, only the Food and Luxury Competitions are shown. The feeds are usually blacked out for crucial Veto Competitions.
The webcast begins on Thursday, July 6, immediately following the East coast broadcast of the show at 8:00PM ET. Subscribers to the 24/7 video stream can watch any one of four live camera feeds from the ‘Big Brother’ house or the special quad-cam view, which allows fans to simultaneously see (but not hear) four video feeds.
Through Real’s SuperPass website at www.real.com/bigbrother fans can subscribe for $14.99 monthly or $39.99 for a discounted three-month subscription, with a free trial for everyone who signs up.
In addition to ‘Big Brother’, SuperPass subscribers also have access to a mix of features, including news and entertainment video, free music downloads from the RealPlayer Music Store, free downloadable games, premium Internet radio, Real PhotoVideo for sharing personal photos and video clips, security software, and more.
The first ‘All-Star’ twist is that viewers are currently voting for which former Houseguests should compete this season, choosing half of the Houseguests who will ultimately enter the house. Three men and three women will be picked. The producers will be selecting all the rest of the players. Although 12 players will be starting the series, it is rumoured that in the end 14 to 16 competitors will be playing the 'Big Brother: All-Stars' game.
The All-Stars entering the house will be announced during the premiere on Thursday, July 6 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
A special note to Canadian fans...CH Television will be rebroacasting the 'Casting Episode' on Tuesday, July 4 at 8pm ET/PT. Big Brother will be seen on Global in Quebec, the Maritimes, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon and Alberta.
