The remaining "Big Brother 3" HouseGuests at the start of the broadcast were:
1. Amy Crews: Real estate appraiser.
2. Chiara Berti: Marketing representative.
3. Danielle Reyes: Media buyer.
4. Eric Ouellette: Firefighter.
5. Gerry Lancaster: Teacher.
6. Jason Guy: Videographer.
7. Josh Feinberg: Waiter.
8. Lisa Donahue: Bartender.
9. Lori Olson: Mom. 10. Marcellas Reynolds: Stylist. 11. Roddy Mancuso: Writer. 12. Tonya Paoni: Retail sales specialist.
The small town mom ran into some big time trouble in the "Big Brother" house. Lori Olsen, the 36-year-old divorced mom from Wisconsin, became the first player to be evicted from the "Big Brother 3" reality series by a vote of five to four.
Olsen's early eviction mirrored the ousting of contestant Sheryl, the 43-year-old mother of two from Florida, who was voted out first on last year's series. Put up as a "dummy" nomination against the 34-year-old stylist - Marcellas Reynolds - by the original Beautiful People Alliance, Olsen became a victim of circumstance. Gerry Lancaster, the Californian teacher, won and used the new Power Of Veto to cancel out Reynolds' nomination. Head Of Household - Lisa Donahue -- had to select a new nominee and chose Amy Crews, as a replacement. Caught in the middle and with the Beautiful People believing that Amy would be a more loyal ally down the road, Lori was targeted for banishment.
Not at all surprised by her nomination or eviction, Olsen took it all in stride when talking to "Big Brother 3" host Julie Chen upon exiting the house.
"I am not a bit mad. In fact, I am thinking the longer I was in that house, the more bases I would need to cover when I got out. I'm okay," she told Chen. "We all get hurt in our lives. Things happen that we don't always want and they don't happen the way we want them to but there is a lesson in everything. There's a reason I am out of the house."
Olsen's eviction had a direct affect on her housemate Jason Guy, the 24-year-old videographer from Alabama. Guy won't acquire any more bonus money that he and Olsen had won in the first Reward Challenge on "Big Brother". Had both of them remained in the house, the pair would have banked $3,000 per week until a total of $30,000 was achieved.
The first eviction vote saw another shift in the Beautiful People Alliance which has been slowly evolving since the debut episode. Since then, the membership has changed from Roddy, Josh, Eric, Chiara, Lisa, Amy and Gerry to Roddy, Eric, Chiara, Lisa, Josh and Tonya. Tonya replaced Gerry following his use of the Power Of Veto which threw a wrench in the plans of the Beautiful People to evict Marcellas.
During tonight's vote, Josh Feinberg, the 28-year-old Long Island waiter, went against the Alliance scheme and voted for Crews instead of their target Olsen making the vote closer than it actually should've been. Whether the Alliance will figure out that one of their own "betrayed" them is yet to be seen. Host Julie Chen did reveal the vote count before announcing Olsen had been evicted by the others.
In the vital Head Of Household Challenge, Marcellas Reynolds walked away with the honours besting the others in a question and answer game concerning items and happenings in the "Big Brother" house. During a weekend Reward Challenge which focused on missing items in the house, Reynolds was quoted as saying he thought he would do well because he has keen powers of observation.
Reynolds' nominations for banishment will be revealed on Saturday's edition of "Big Brother".
