TV Show: Big Brother 3

Marathon 'Big Brother' contest ends on Net
By -- JAM! Showbiz

Lady Luck is shining on 'Big Brother' HouseGuest Amy Crews. Crews, the 23-year-old real estate appraiser from Memphis, Tennessee, not only has a second chance at winning 'Big Brother' but she is now the new Head Of Household.

On last night's 'Big Brother 3' television broadcast, viewers witnessed Crews being voted back into the house and the game by the remaining 'Big Brother' players as a part of a contentious new "twist" added to the show. The first four evicted HouseGuests, Crews, Eric Ouellette, Lori Olson and Tonya Paoni were given a chance to return and competed in a phony bidding war (how much of the prize money they would sacrifice and how long they would eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the house) to determine the finalists. Crews and Ouellette won out and the seven remaining players voted privately on who they wanted back. With only Roddy Mancuso and Chiara Berti choosing Ouellette, Crews walked back through the door of the 'Big Brother' house.

Crews and the other HouseGuests then competed in the all-important weekly Head Of Household challenge. The television show went off the air without a winner.

On the 24-hour Internet feeds, the rest of the competition played itself out with Crews claiming the title. In the challenge, the HouseGuests were made to sit in an over-sized bathtub as all manner of strange and disgusting things were poured into it at timed intervals. The last person to remain in the tub would be declared the victor.

HouseGuest Roddy Mancuso was the first to leave after dead squids were dumped in. Heeding "calls of nature" players Gerry Lancaster and Marcellas Reynolds exited next. Danielle Reyes followed close behind them leaving Crews, Lisa Donahue (the 26-year-old L.A. bartender) and Jason Guy (the 24-year-old videographer from Alabama) as the final three. Once live eels entered the tub, Donahue took a powder. At almost two hours into the competition, slimy cod liver oil was added. Unable to stand the smell any longer, Guy jumped out of the tub.

"Welcome back, you're our new Head Of Household," Guy said surrendering the competition to Amy.

As the Head Of Household, not only does Crews get her own private room away from the other HouseGuests but she will decide which two HouseGuests are nominated for eviction this week. The results of the competition -- and possibly Amy's choices for eviction -- will air on a special telecast of 'Big Brother' on Friday night. This week, 'Big Brother' has been bumped out of its usual Saturday timeslot by NFL football.
