TV Show: Big Brother 3

Week Six: Scandalous 'Big Brother' player evicted
By -- JAM! Showbiz

The remaining "Big Brother 3" HouseGuests at the start of the broadcast were:

    1. Chiara Berti: Marketing representative.
    2. Danielle Reyes: Media buyer.
    3. Gerry Lancaster: Teacher.
    4. Jason Guy: Videographer.
    5. Lisa Donahue: Bartender.
    6. Marcellas Reynolds: Stylist.
    7. Roddy Mancuso: Writer.
    8. Amy Crews: Writer.

'Big Brother 3' contestant Chiara Berti will be able to make her court date after all. Charged with drunk driving a few weeks before entering the 'Big Brother' house, the 25-year-old marketing representative from New York City, was given the boot on last night's show by a vote of four to one. Player Danielle Reyes, the 30-year-old media buyer from California, was the only contestant who voted for this week's other nominee, Roddy Mancuso, the 30-year-old writer from New Jersey.

On July 22nd, The Smoking Gun Web site reported that Berti (nicknamed "Chi-whore-ia" by fans because of her risque behavior in the house) was arrested on May 26th and charged with "driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content above California's .08 limit, and driving without a license." Berti spent five hours in custody and was released on $2500 bail pending her arraignment. The identities of Berti and the other "Big Brother 3" HouseGuests were officially announced on Friday, July 5th, by CBS. Though Berti's attorney Sherman Ellison lobbied for a September 9th court date on July 19th, Judge Alvin Nierenberg set Berti's arraignment for September 3rd.

Berti was nominated by Head Of Household, Amy Crews, the 23-year-old real estate appraiser from Memphis. Crews, who had a feud with Berti while she was in the house, had been voted back into the game by the remaining HouseGuests during a controversial twist in the game last week which saw the first four banished players vie for the opportunity to return to the "Big Brother 3" house.

On the live "Big Brother" Internet feeds, Berti griped bitterly about being nominated for eviction by the returning Crews and even claimed that the producers timed the twist to coincide with her departure as Head Of Household. In the game, the Head Of Household position cannot be held by the same player two weeks in a row. Berti's complaints carried over to her post-eviction interview with "Big Brother 3" host Julie Chen.

"Having someone return and that being the person who puts you up and that being the person who wants you out, it's just upsetting because half the challenge is being in that house 24-hours-a-day," said Berti.

Being nominated with her beau in the house, Roddy Mancuso, was especially upsetting for Berti. When asked whether their relationship would continue outside the "Big Brother" house, Berti wasn't certain.

"I guess we'll see what happens when he gets out," she told Chen. "I have said it a million times in the DR (Diary Room) that there is so much more to explore. We have gone so far and we have so many more miles to go."

This week's Head Of Household Challenge was a repetitious competition with the players using blocks to guess which players uttered which quotation. Jason Guy, the 24-year-old videographer from Alabama, won the competition and will have nominate two of the remaining seven HouseGuests for eviction. He selections will air on Saturday's "Big Brother 3" show.
