TV Show: Bachelor

'The Bachelor' heads to Edmonton
Jenny and an ex-boyfriend drop in on Kim and Charlie
By STEVE TILLEY - Edmonton Sun

Edmonton's rejected bachelorette Jenny Adams may be down, but she's not out.

Adams, the 23-year-old marketing co-ordinator and part-time model who was denied a rose and sent home on last week's episode of the romance reality show The Bachelor, will briefly return in next Monday's show, according to ABC.

The episode, which airs on Monday at 10 p.m., sees bachelor Charlie O'Connell visit the hometowns of the four remaining finalists, including 25-year-old swimsuit model Kim Choma, also from Edmonton.

O'Connell and Choma spend some time at West Edmonton Mall's Galaxyland amusement park and dine at her family's Pyrogy House restaurant. According to ABC, Choma's mom falls in love with the rakish O'Connell, brother of Crossing Jordan's Jerry O'Connell, particularly when the bachelor helps out with the perogy-making in the kitchen.

In a preview snippet at the end of this week's episode, viewers saw footage of O'Connell and Choma on a date, which is apparently interrupted by Choma's ex-boyfriend. What wasn't shown, though, was Adams's surprise appearance.

"Kimberley's date with Charlie is crashed by her ex-boyfriend and by Jenny - another Edmonton bachelorette, rejected a few weeks ago - who both want to confront the couple," says an ABC news release on the episode.

How Adams and Choma's ex-boyfriend knew where the couple would be is open to speculation, including the very likely possibility they were contacted by the show's producers and asked to show up during the date.

According to the ABC release, "Kimberley's 'ex' wants to know if he has a shot at getting back together with her, and Jenny also wants a second chance with Charlie."

While that's all ABC has said on the subject, 96X morning show hosts B.J. Wilson and Shannon Tyler reported last month that O'Connell and Adams were spotted dining together at Whyte Avenue's Sapphire Restaurant and Lounge, under the watchful gaze of The Bachelor camera crews.

How the dinner comes about, and whether it will be featured in next week's episode, isn't completely clear. However, when Adams exited the show last week, her chief regret was that she was never given an opportunity to have one-on-one time with O'Connell.

At the end of next week's show, O'Connell whittles the four remaining girls down to three, who are then whisked off to Aruba for a series of "romantic overnight dates." Yikes.
