PASADENA, Calif. -- What does Law & Order boss Dick Wolf think about filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer copying his cloning idea and spinning off CSI with CSI: Miami?

"You know, I wish Jerry would stay in the film business," says the always outspoken Wolf.

"Why did he have to come in here? He's got all those big movies."

Counting the summer reality series Crime & Punishment, Wolf currently has four hit Law & Order shows on NBC. What's the secret to extending one idea into an entire franchise?

"I've used the Campbell's soup simile before," says Wolf. "Tomato, chicken noodle, they're all going to be good if they have that red label on it."
