Local contenders Rob James and Keith Macpherson are still in the game on CTV's Canadian Idol after four singers were cut from contention last night. James made a return trip to the bottom four of the male vote-winners but pulled through, while B.C.'s Greg Neufeld and Ottawa's Chris Labelle -- the guy with the Mohawk hairdo -- were sent home.
Two female singers -- Calgary's Alyssa Klazek and Kitchener's Alisha Nauth -- were also eliminated.
Some 2.5 million viewers cast votes this week. James, 28, and Macpherson, 27, perform again next Tuesday with the other five remaining male contestants. The seven female singers perform Monday.
A third Winnipegger in the Top-22 round, Jeremy Koz, was eliminated in the first viewer voting round June 28.
