Life isn't pretty on the streets of Da Vinci's Inquest, but it is for those behind the CBC-TV program.

The gritty show has 10 nominations - the most for a Canadian produced dramatic series - at the 15th Annual Gemini Awards, which wraps with a televised gala tomorrow at 8 p.m. on CBC (cable 4).

Nicholas Campbell, who plays the acclaimed program's lead as coroner Dominic Da Vinci, is up for best series actor.

Campbell, who already has a Gemini for his role in the movie Major Crime, deems his current work as his favourite acting gig.

In real life, Campbell loves the racetrack, his remote control and falling asleep in front of the tube. The single guy also shared the fact he doesn't wear underwear. But he's also a devoted dad to his three sons.
