There is going to be a new neighbour setting up camp on Wisteria Lane.
Variety reports that Alfre Woodard ("Radio," "Beauty Shop") has inked a deal to join the cast of ABC's hit show "Desperate Housewives" next season.
Although details of her character have not been revealed, she will play a seemingly normal woman who moves into the cul-de-sac with her son.
Woodard will first appear on the season finale, and will be added as a regular this fall.
It will mark her first appearance on the small screen since she starred as Dr. Roxanne Turner on "St. Elsewhere."
