Former "Friends" star Courtney Cox is in negotiations for a guest role on "Desperate Housewives," the New York Post reports.

The 41-year-old actress would play a mental institute escapee on a future episode of the hit ABC series.

It would mark her first TV appearance since the birth of her daughter Coco last year.
