Eliza Dushku certainly is a well-rounded woman, in every sense of the term.
But the star of Dollhouse says one of the main reasons she likes her current role is that she gets to explore her feminine side a little more than she did as an adolescent.
"As I kid I wasn't the girliest girl," Dushku said. "Now I get to be girly and so many different things.
"It can be terrifying to be girly sometimes. But (this role) is kind of everything in one.
"Some people are comfortable in routine and in the same thing happening. I am more comfortable with a lot going on at once."
In Dollhouse, Dushku plays Echo, a woman whose personality has been wiped clean. Echo is part of a team of "dolls" who regularly have new personalities inserted, so they can be hired out to perform specific tasks.
The second season of Dollhouse, which was created by Joss Whedon, debuts tonight on Fox and Global.
