After guest starring in two episodes of "ER" this season, actor John Stamos is now checking into the medical drama as a regular cast member this fall.

The Hollywood Reporter says Stamos will reprise his role as flirtatious paramedic Tony Gates, a Gulf War veteran and medical student.

His two previous "ER" appearances involved him trying to woo Dr. Neela Rasgotra (Parminder Nagra) while she worked shifts on his ambulance.

Stamos currently stars in the ABC comedy "Jake in Progress," which has only been aired once this season.
