It's the eve of the millennium, and God, fed up with the mess we've made of the planet, is ready to pull the plug. However, Mary the Blessed Virgin is allowed one final intervention. She sends John the Baptist down to -- where else? -- St. John's, Newfoundland, in a last ditch effort to find some sign of hope and save the world.
