The 17th Annual Gemini Awards, ably hosted by funnyman Sean Cullen, flunked the Brampton test. That means that fewer people across Canada tuned in to the Monday night award show (306,000) than live in Brampton, Ont. That's a 200,000 drop from last year.
Solution? Stop aping the Emmys with a glitzy evening gala. There's no Brad Pitt, Oprah Winfrey or Kelly Osbourne to cut to in our front row.
