Winnipeg's Diana Swain went up against the old network boys and won, stealing a Gemini Award for Best Anchor from CBC national counterpart Peter Mansbridge and CTV's Lloyd Robertson in Toronto last night.
"Oh my God, I won. I was so shocked, I wouldn't even allow myself to contemplate a win," an elated Swain said by telephone shortly after the CBC's Wendy Mesley and Ian Hanomansing presented the award at the Toronto Convention Centre.
