PASADENA, Calif. - The song remains the same for fans of Glee. Not that this ever was in doubt really, but Fox confirmed on Monday that the genre-defying hit series Glee already has been picked up for a second season.

The first season of Glee, which also airs on Global in Canada, aired its first half last fall and will complete its rookie run starting in April 2010.

The second season will begin in the fall of 2010.

Glee focuses on a group of high school kids - including Canadian Cory Monteith - who are bucking the odds by trying to revive the school’s glee club.
