TV Show: Go On

LeBlanc praises Perry's 'Go On'

Friends stick together. That was apparent when Matt LeBlanc was asked about Matthew Perry's new sitcom, Go On.

"I hope it's great," said LeBlanc, who starred alongside Perry on Friends. "He belongs in a project where people can see how talented he is.

"He's a smart, funny guy. I spent a lot of years with that guy. I love him, he's like a brother to me. We did a lot of funny s--- together."

LeBlanc was told that Perry had been very complimentary of LeBlanc's current show, Episodes, too.

"He f------ better be," said LeBlanc, prompting laughter.

What is being called the "series premiere" of Go On takes place Tuesday, Sept. 11, on NBC and Global. NBC certainly has been creative with its terminology this fall, since the pilot episode of Go On already aired in early August, with a replay Monday, Sept. 10 on NBC and Global.

Perry stars as Ryan King, a sports talk-radio host who wants to get back to work after the loss of his wife. However, Ryan's boss feels that Ryan could use some grief counseling.

Meanwhile, LeBlanc's Episodes recently completed its second season. LeBlanc plays a fictionalized version of himself, and one of the funniest scenes was when LeBlanc couldn't get Perry on the phone.
