'Heroes' star wants invisibility
By BILL HARRIS - Sun Media
There's no hiding which superpower Hayden Panettiere would choose for her real life. "The ability to be invisible," Panettiere, who plays Claire Bennet on Heroes, said without hesitation yesterday. "Obviously we can blame most of it on the people who are doing the bad things that they're not supposed to be doing. But with cameras in your face all the time, it leaves you no room to mess up even slightly. "If I could lock up my door, and drive my car out of my (driveway) and not be followed by paparazzi, I would be a very happy person." Panettiere, who turns 18 later this month, insisted that she loves her job and she considers all the attention Heroes receives to be flattering. But has she ever thought to herself that the particularly obsessed fans and/or media should, well, get a life? "Sure, it has crossed my mind," Panettiere said. "But I think it's very cool that they like (Heroes) and it's a pat on our backs. "Have I ever been obsessed with anything? Not really. But there is some definite obsession going on with Heroes, which is fine by me." |
