It has been a long and winding road for Little Mosque on the Prairie.
Perhaps that explains the striking, Beatles-inspired ad campaign the sitcom has utilized to promote its third season, which begins tonight on CBC.
Honestly, we're not sure how the Beatles relate to Little Mosque, or vice versa. But the TV and print ads clearly stand out, which probably is the point, right?
"Yes, it's very cute -- but please don't go asking me the big questions, like, what the hell does it mean?" said Carlo Rota, who plays Yasir in Little Mosque.
"It's a very competitive television universe and there's only so much you can do with a show like this. We can't do what The Tudors does."
Well, you could ... but a highly sexualized Little Mosque on the Prairie certainly would be a different type of show.
Best to just, uh, Let It Be.
