HOLLYWOOD -- Had a nice chat the other day with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, executive producers of ABC's Lost.
The pair was very pleased that the network finally agreed to provide the show with an exit strategy in the form of 48 more episodes to be unveiled over the course of the next three seasons, meaning fans will get just 16 shows per season.
By doing so, the serialized plane-crash drama will hopefully address viewer concerns that all the various loose ends be neatly gathered and all nagging questions answered come 2010.
Now that an end is officially in sight, for their next series are Lindelof, who was one of the original Lost creators, and Cuse planning on doing something not quite as intricate in the plotting department?
"The title of our next show in development is called Doctor-Lawyer," jokes Lindelof. "He's a doctor by day and a lawyer by night.
"We think it's going to be awesome," chimes in Cuse. "There will be no unanswered questions in any episode."
"Our motto is, 'He saves a life and cracks the case every week,' " adds Lindelof.
