At 72, Ruth Zimmer is about to be a TV star. As the inspiration for the new WTN series Loving Spoonfuls, the Winnipeg grandma appears in the ninth episode of nephew Allan Novak's comic cooking show.
Premiering today at 5:30 p.m., Spoonfuls lets viewers hang out with a different grandma each week as she and host David Gale shop for food, reminisce about her life and occasionally dance a tango or polka while preparing a meal.
