It used to take a couple of seasons of sexual tension for TV characters to fall into each other's arms.
But last week, slightly more than halfway into its second season, the Zooey Deschanel sitcom New Girl succumbed to temptation. Flirting flatmates Jess (Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) finally kissed.
It's a development that will infuriate their roomies Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Nelson (Lamorne Morris), who'd signed, along with Nick, a "no nail" oath when they agreed to take in a hot female flatmate.
