Jeri Ryan ("Boston Public") has inked a deal for a recurring role in the teen drama "The O.C," Variety reports.

The actress will play Charlotte Morgan, a woman with a secret who befriends Canadian actress Kelly Rowan's character Kirsten while in rehab.

Ryan will appear in at least seven episodes when the FOX soap kicks off its third season in September.

Ryan's credits include the film "Down With Love" and TV's "Star Trek: Voyager."
