'The Office' travels to Winnipeg
By BILL HARRIS - Sun Media
This is big, big news for Canadian fans of The Office: Michael Scott is taking a business trip to Winnipeg. The new episode of The Office that will air Nov. 13 on Global and NBC is titled Business Trip, and it represents a "Canadianization" of sorts for the hilarious series, which is set at a paper company in Scranton, Pa. Michael (played by Steve Carell) can't contain his excitement when he is sent to a conference in Winnipeg by Dunder Mifflin executive David Wallace (Andy Buckley). Meanwhile, Andy (Ed Helms) and Oscar (Oscar Nunez) become unlikely friends when Michael decides to bring them along, too. Of course, the cast never actually was in Winnipeg, but parts of the episode are set there. The Office merely is the funniest show on television. The series is in its fifth season, but literally every week it still gives you something new that you can't stop laughing about every time you think of it. Our personal favourite moment from last week's episode: Michael, dissatisfied with the arrangements that have been made for a party for his pregnant ex-girlfriend, screams aloud, "Where's my golden shower?" So, do you think Michael Scott at a conference in Winnipeg is ripe for Office-style humour? Good lord, can't wait.
