First impressions can be revealing. Two days before he was to interview Dominick Dunne for the first time, T.O. filmmaker Barry Avrich encountered him on the streets of New York.
"I said, 'Hey! That's Dominick Dunne.' Y'know, we'd talked on the phone but I'd not met him yet," Avrich says. "I went up to him to say hello, and he automatically leaned in ready for a tip.
