In reality-TV, it's all fun and games until you start getting death threats.

Which is what Jody Claman, the so-called "Queen of Mean" on The Real Housewives of Vancouver says she received via Twitter in November. The threats were hinted to originate from persons close to Mary Zilba, the single-mom, ex-recording artist who went from Jody's frenemy to enemy in the course of RHOV Season 1.

Or was it all a publicity stunt to promote the hugely popular Canuck installment of the Real Housewives series, which launches its second season Tuesday on Slice?

"That did happen and that did happen with a castmate and the police are dealing with it," the effervescent Claman said, briefly turning solemn. "It was terrifying, and it's something I don't want to talk about. It became part of the plot because it became part of my life."
