CBS announces another 'Rock Star'

Canada's own J.D. Fortune.

The search for the next "Rock Star" will continue when the hit reality show returns for a second season this summer.

CBS chief Nina Tassler made the announcement Wednesday at the Television Critics mid-season press tour and confirmed the return of reality show creator king Mark Burnett to executive produce the second installment.

However, no decision has been made on the band that will be in search of a new lead singer.

Last season's featured band, INXS, found a new singer with the help of viewers' votes and selected Canada's own J.D. Fortune, to helm the group.

The first season of "Rock Star" was a modest hit for CBS, drawing an average of 6.3 million viewers on performance nights and nearly 8 million people tuned in to watch the finale.
