Andy Samberg, actually live!
That's one of the unintentionally novel aspects of the MTV Movie Awards, which air live Sunday on MTV.
Samberg, who will host the proceedings, is a cast member on Saturday Night Live. However, in the past few years, Samberg has become known primarily for his short films that are shown on SNL, most famously his collaborations with Justin Timberlake.
Anyway, the MTVMAs are scheduled to feature musical performances by Eminem and Kings of Leon. Plus, there will be sneak peeks of the upcoming Twilight film New Moon -- stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will present the clip, as well as summer blockbusters Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Also, Zac Efron will present Ben Stiller with something called the Generation Award. Stiller is only 43, but maybe this means he can quit making movies! (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
It's a big night for MTV overall. Prior to the MTVMAs, there's the season finale of The Hills, as the fetching Lauren Conrad says goodbye to the series.
