Alzheimer's and its devastating effects on a family are at the heart of Scar Tissue, a CBC movie airing tonight at 8 p.m.
The story is based on Michael Ignatieff's 1993 Booker Prize-winning novel. In a taped interview that will follow tonight's presentation, Ignatieff explains that he wrote the book after two members of his own family, his grandmother and his mother, had their lives cut short by the disease.
