PASADENA, Calif. -- Lucy Lawless, who forever will be known as Xena: Warrior Princess, will be partially naked in her new TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

"I'm afraid so. Sometimes," the 41-year-old Lawless said at the Television Critics Association tour. "Sort of, so far.

"Not entirely, no. But I'm kind of praying that day never comes, because it's really stressful. I don't like it."

Spartacus: Blood and Sand has no shortage of fully naked people, male and female.

"Some people insist on taking off their pants, and we're like, 'Oh, please put them back on,' " Lawless said.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand will air on the U.S. cable network Starz. No Canadian network has picked it up yet.
