OTTAWA -- A merger between CTV and the owners of The Sports Network wouldn't zap competition in the Canadian TV sports market, CTV executives say.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission began hearings Monday into whether to allow CTV Inc., which already owns SportsNet, a 24-hour-a-day sports network, to take control of NetStar's TSN.
