Survivor’s third adventure in Panama will end on May 14th.
CBS announced today that the ‘Survivor: Panama’ series finale will be broadcast on Sunday, May 14th, and as per usual will be followed by a live reunion show.
The finale will be another low key affair with Jeff Probst once again hosting the event from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City as he has done for several seasons now.
During the reunion show, Probst is likely to announce the setting for the next series set to air in the fall. In pre-show interviews, Probst stated that the location would also serve as the theme of the series too. Rumours of the location range from the Cook Islands or New Caledonia in the South Pacific to New Zealand, Madagascar or even a return to Australia.
After spending several weeks away on hiatus due to the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, the series returns this Thursday night with a brand-new episode.
In a press release, CBS revealed on that episode (entitled "An Emerging Plan") the "Survivor Panama" tribes will merge. When they do, members of the La Mina Alliance will try to convince some of those in the rival Casaya Alliance to jump ship. Karate instructor and high school art teacher Bruce Kanegai will suffer a chipped tooth and a cut lip when the new tribe decides to expand their shelter to accommodate everyone.
