'Survivor' romance snuffed out
By -- JAM! Showbiz

The romance between Candice Woodcock and Adam Gentry is on hold. (Photo Courtesy of: CBS.)

Host Jeff Probst needed a bucket of cold water at last night's Tribal Council on 'Survivor: Cook Islands' and it wasn't to put out torches either.

Candice Woodcock and Adam Gentry, the lovebirds who can't keep their hands off each other, smooched their goodbyes as Candice was voted out and joined the jury.

"A kiss is nice. Maybe if it were love he would've given you the Immunity Necklace," said a smiling Probst as he snuffed out Candice's torch.

While there was a lot of love at Tribal Council there was also a lot of vicious hate. The core Raratonga Alliance of Parvati, Candice and Adam attempted to turn the tables on backstabber Jonathan by fuelling everyone's negative opinion of him. Although they have their misgivings about Jonathan, Yul and the gang didn't take the bait and voted Candice out with Jonathan's help.

The Survivors at the start of the broadcast were:

Aitutonga Tribe

1. Becky Lee.
2. Yul Kwon.
3. Oscar Lusth .
4. Sundra Oakley .
5. Adam Gentry.
6. Parvati Shallow.
7. Candice Woodcock.
8. Jonathan Penner.

Aitutonga Tribal Happenings - Night 27

Jonathan explains to Candice that Yul has the Hidden Immunity Idol and if he didn't vote Nathan out it would have been him or her going home.

Jonathan: It was either 100 per cent me leaving now or 50 per cent me leaving the next time.

Yul and the Gang meet. Sundra about the vote: They were shocked. Yul: We are golden, people. Sundra admits the last Tribal Council did a number on her nerves. Yul: I wanted to play the Idol when I could switch up the game and it worked.

Parvati lashes out at Jonathan. Parvati: You betrayed everyone. I hope you are happy with second place. You played yourself out. What you did was vile.

Parvati: What Jonathan did made me nauseous. I would love to throw up all over him.

Jonathan tells Parvati that his neck was on the line because Yul has the Hidden Immunity Idol. Parvati: He doesn't have the Idol. Jonathan: He does. I saw it but you probably wouldn't believe me any ways. Parvati: I don't believe anything that comes out of your mouth.

Parvati: Jonathan is a filthy, miserable rat.

Aitutonga Tribal Happenings

Sundra shows Parvati how to gut a fish.

Jonathan: She has been her 28 days and she has never gutted a fish? How is that possible? They are lazy, selfish girls. Winning a million dollars would not help Parvati. It would only screw up her life.

Parvati and Jonathan complain some more about Jonathan. Adam: The game isn't fun when you are in this position. Parvati: I would love to throw up on Jonathan. Jon tells Yul that when he jumped ship, he didn't realize he was landing in the "Clownhouse".

Survivor Auction

Each Survivor is given $500.00 U.S. to bet on items. Probst says the Survivors can share money but not anything they purchase.

Jonathan buys a hot dog, fries and a beer for $160. He slops some of his beer when he sits back down. Parvati buys a piece of chocolate cake and a warm bath for $360. Probst informs everyone that the next item will give the purchaser power in the game. Yul and Becky outbid Candice and Adam. Parvati chimes in from the bath: Why do you need it, Becky? Becky collects her prize for $640 and discovers she can send someone to Exile Island immediately and can take their auction money. She picks Candice for the fourth time.

Probst asks Candice if she will look for the Hidden Immunity Idol. Candice: I know where it is. Yul stands up. Yul: I can end the suspense right now. I have the Idol. Yul gets it from his bag and shows everyone. He lets Parvati hold it. Yul: I was waiting to play it at a crucial juncture of the game and I did.

Ozzy buys unlimited ice cream from a machine for $420. "Unlimited" meaning until the end of the auction. Jonathan buys a pizza for $240. Sundra purchases a sea cucumber for $140. Jonathan buys a toothbrush and mouthwash for $100. The auction ends.

Aitutonga Tribal Happenings Day 29

Back at camp, Jonathan says the food made him thirsty. He never would eat that much food at one sitting in his life. He lets out a belch.

When Jonathan leaves, Sundra calls him obnoxious in front of the others. Sundra: I would hate to see him in the Final Four.

As Parvati and Adam walk alone, Parvati thinks they just witnessed a crack in the Yul and the Gang Alliance. Perhaps they can use it to their advantage?

Parvati chats with Becky, Sundra and Yul. Becky dislikes Jonathan. Sundra: He acted too cocky at the auction. Yul: I don't find him likeable. Jonathan strolls back into camp and the conversation ceases.

Jonathan: Something is up. Parvati has gotten to them.

Exile Island Happenings

Candice bawls up a storm and lays it on thick. Candice: It is tough to come here. I miss Adam. I need a hug. I know I am next on the block. I am really on edge.

Aitutonga Tribal Happenings Day 29

The players get Tree Mail detailing the Immunity Challenge. Adam: I want to turn the tables on Jonathan. He is a dirty, dirty rat.

Immunity Challenge

Probst give the Survivors four questions based on past challenges. The answers are numbers put into a mathematical equation. Everyone has numbered boxes in front of them. If they get the right answer, they will find a key in correct box. The key unlocks a flag. The first three to finish move onto the next round. The second phase operates in the same manner but the key unlocks a tunnel crawl and a walk over floating pontoons to a flag.

Reward

  • Immunity from the Tribal Council vote.

    Result

  • Adam, Parvati and Jonathan are victorious. Adam cruises to a win when Parvati and Jonathan cannot even get their keys out.

  • Winner: Adam.

    Aitutonga Pre-Tribal Council Happenings

Candice, Parvati and Adam meet with Yule and the Gang when Jonathan is gone. Candice knows her number is up. She doesn't want Jonathan to get further than her in the game. Adam: He is a slime ball. Adam appeals to Yul, since he is such an upstanding guy. Yul: Jonathan is selfish and thinks rationally. I can predict his behaviour. Adam and Parvati call Yul the "ringleader" of the Aitu Alliance. The people on the jury know that too. They suggest if Aitu votes out Jonathan now, they will vote for Yul if he makes it to the Final Two. As Jonathan returns, Yul says that he cannot change things up now and is just being honest about that. Jonathan and Adam argue over a coconut that Adam claims is his.

Jonathan: They have been percolating and brewing for a while. I am getting mad.

As Candice, Adam and Parvati cuddle in the shelter. The others cook and eat the fish Jonathan caught. When Candice sees what is going on, she heads out to speak to them.

Candice calls the others out on eating without them and not sharing the food. Candice says what they are doing is arrogant and rude. Candice calls Jonathan a rat who only cares about himself. She then repeats what Yul said earlier. Yul: Don't speak for me. Candice: Your own alliance doesn't like you, Jonathan. Jonathan: I have worked my ass off since Day One while you guys just lay around. I am not acting any differently now as I did then.

Yul meets with Becky alone. He is fearful of being seen as the "ringleader". He wonders if he should vote Jonathan off just to save face with the jury. They would still have the numbers.

    Aitutonga Tribal Council Happenings

Parvati and Nathan exchange winks. Becky: They sent Candice to Exile Island again because they see her as a strong competitor. Candice: I love this game. I have to keep my spirits up. Ozzy explains what happened with the fish back at camp. Candice and Parvati complain. Adam and Jonathan trade barbs. Parvati says she is half as young as Jonathan and twice as mature. Jonathan: Five work at camp and three don't. Where do you eventually draw the line when they sit around and wait to be fed. Adam says Aitu should get rid of the rat and cut the cancer from the tribe. Jonathan: He is fine with all the venom. He is in a better position now than he was before. Candice: The decision will rest in the jury's hands and they should know what is happening back at camp. Yul says Candice is only telling one side of the story.

Jonathan votes for Candice. He sacrificed so much for her. She showed her true colours at Tribal Council. Candice writes down Jonathan's name. Candice: Wow. You are a piece of work.

    Final Voting

    1. Becky Lee: Candice.
    2. Yul Kwon: Candice.
    3. Oscar Lusth: Candice.
    4. Sundra Oakley: Candice.
    5. Adam Gentry: Jonathan.
    6. Parvati Shallow: Jonathan.

    7. Candice Woodcock: Jonathan.
    8. Jonathan Penner: Candice.

    Tribal Council Victim: Candice Woodcock.

Final Words: "Wow. What can I say? What a fabulous time I have had out here playing this game. I think I can look myself in the mirror and be comfortable with the way I played this game, definitely. That little kiss with Adam was a nice way to leave. We were partners through this and it was sincere." - Candice Woodcock.

On the next 'Survivor': Television. : Parvati cuts her hand or her fingers using a machete or a knife. Jonathan: That is pretty bad. I don't know if you should stay out here with that. Probst: Yul feels the pressure. Jonathan to Yul: They are going to say anything they can because if you fall for it, I am gone and they are still around. Yul: I kinda feel like the Godfather arranging a hit on somebody.

On the next 'Survivor': Internet. : "One survivor is seriously hurt when they slice their finger with a machete, forcing the medical team to arrive at camp. How will this injury affect their position in the game? One alliance devises a plan to hide food from their competing tribe members in an effort to make them hungry and weak. Will they succeed in breaking down their fellow tribemates? At the Reward Challenge, suprise guests arrive to help the survivors compete for the opportunity to take part in a local ceremony and feast. At an Immunity Challenge, balance and agility are assets. Who can maneuver their way to victory?"

    Powell's Thoughts:

  • Coming soon there will be a challenge involving visiting a dark burial cave or something. Not sure if it is the next episode or not. They might be saved for the final Immunity Challenge.

  • Family visits next episode? Maybe.

  • Another big mouth is slated to have their torch snuffed next episode.
