Episode Twelve: Warrior princess vanquished
By JOHN POWELL -- JAM!
Immunity. It can change the course of the 'Survivor' game in a blink of an eye. Pulling one out of the fire, nitro-fueled motor mouth Shii Ann Huang lived up to her boastful claim last week and sent the powerful Chapera Alliance scrambling in possibly the best episode yet of 'Survivor All Stars' by taking home the Tinker Toy-ish Immunity Necklace. With no choice but to cannibalize their own, Chapera gobbled up notorious finger-waver Alicia Calaway in a landslide Tribe Council vote. A drama queen to the extreme, Calaway ruffled more feathers when she took exception to being termed as the least deserving player to be on 'All Stars' by her tribe at the Reward Challenge. Being tied with Shii Ann for the dubious honour offered no solace to Calaway. Already positioned outside of the core Chapera Alliance, she further isolated herself by lashing out at the tribe. Having dug her own grave, Calaway was easy pickings. Though she bought herself three more days in the game, an overzealous Shii Ann didn't make any friends by rubbing her Immunity Challenge win in the faces of the Chapera Alliance. The next time things don't go her way (which should be next week), Shii Ann will be royally sliced and diced as an easy out leaving the Chapera Alliance to battle for the title of 'Ultimate Survivor' and the bounty that comes with it. The remaining Survivors at the start of the broadcast were:
Chaboga Mogo Tribe Surprise. Surprise. More rain in the Pearl Islands. How depressing. All I know is if you are looking for a quality investment, opening an umbrella or rain poncho factory there might make you the next Donald Trump. Shii Ann: Seeing Kathy walk the plank and her meal ticket go bye-bye was very emotional for her. "Smug Chapera" on a Pagonging spree rubs the 'She-Devil' raw. Kathy was her rock and her "true friend". Now Shii Ann has no one. Sniffle. Sniffle. 'She-Devil' conspires with Rob...or at least tries to. Rob is sticking with his plan. "She-Devil' makes it known that she is going to try hard to win Immunity. Rob says that he needs it as much as she does. Shii Ann: She has only a slim chance to win now and her only hope is to stir things up. Proving that her gameplay (What gameplay? She just stood around cathing flies for 39 days.) is just as bad as the players she notoriously rips on, Shii Ann insults 'The Robfather' to his face by saying she would be shocked if he made it to the final two. What a bonehead. Back in the hovel with everyone else, Rob lets them in on how Shii Ann attempted to poison his mind and manipulate him. Everyone has to make doubly sure she doesn't win Immunity. Alicia: Hopes the Reward Challenge is for food as they can't fish in the rain. Tom: Jabbers on about steak and mash potatoes...or maybe it was sheep and astro physics. Whatever. Reward Challenge

Rob knocks Tom out. Shii Ann takes Jenna out. Rupert rubs out Shii Ann. Rob puts Alicia out. Alicia pouts: I don't like you people any more. Rupert puts Rob out. Rupert takes out Amber.
Chaboga Mogo Tribal Happenings (Day 29) Rob: Alicia is upset over the answers to the questionnaire. She needs to remember that things happen for a reason. As everyone busies themselves, Alicia 'The Warrior Princess' stands on her own and sulks. She tries to burn holes through the others with her heat vision. She wishes she wasn't stuck with them. Am-bore: Alicia is very emotional. She's being a baby about what happened at the challenge. Acting like she does will get you kicked out. Jenna endeavors to give Alicia a shoulder to cry on. Hiss! Snikt! Out come the claws. Alicia growls at Jenna: "You are not my mom!". Someone spay that cat. Alicia 'Warrior Princess': She wants Jenna to leave her alone. She feels no connection to Jenna at all. She can just save it. Jenna is the last person she needs to be consoled by. Off on their own, Jenna and Rupert 'Blackbeard' scheme. Rupert wishes he didn't win the challenge. The pecking order might become known now. Jenna advises Rupert not to be a "martyr" and take the rice/water. They both have to remain strong for the final phase of the game. Rupert agrees to give Shii Ann the Chapera Happy Meal. Rupert 'Blackbeard': Dislikes people who create tension. He hates to be the one who causes hard feelings amongst the tribe members. Chaboga Mogo Reward Happenings (Day 29) At the restaurant, Probst introduces the meals to choose from. They are: steak and potatoes, a cheese burger, a hot dog, a ham sandwich, salad, potatoes (in water) and rice and water (from camp). Rupert takes the steak dinner for himself. Probst informs Rupert that an open bar comes with that supper. Rupert then presents his order one by one. The Survivor he names is permitted to select which dinner they desire. Rob takes the hamburger. Jenna has the hot dog. Amber selects the ham sandwich. Alicia has the salad. Tom picks the potato. Shii Ann is left with the rice and water. Shii Ann: "That's right. Leave the Asian girl with the rice." Tom: Bitches about the potato. This isn't what he had in mind when he spoke to us earlier. Plus, the darn thing is cold. Dagnabit! Shii Ann jokes that the camp water tastes better in the restaurant's ambiance. 'Robfather' about Shii Ann's complaints: "You win some. You lose some." Jenna: Blasts Shii Ann for her snide comments during dinner. She is obnoxious. Rupert deserved the steak dinner and Shii Ann's remarks could've ruined it for him. At the time, she wanted so badly for Shii Ann to just shut up. Rupert tells everyone he wishes he could share his meal with all of them. Rupert orders beer after beer after... He downs one in Big Tom's honour. Slightly blitzed, Rupert forgets his table manners and starts licking his plate. Alicia: Believes Rupert had eight or nine beers. He was "plastered". Am-bore: They were out of the rain and were happy to let Rupert drink as much as he wanted because it meant they could stay longer. The players notice how soft the table is. It's a perfect resting spot. They encourage Rupert to guzzle all the booze he likes as they rest their heads. 'The Robfather': With his choices, Rupert exposed the boot order. He was amazed that Rupert would rub it in the other players' faces. It showed him though that he and Amber can trust Rupert as he is following through on their alliance. Chaboga Mogo Tribe Happenings (Day 30) It is laundry day at Chaboga Mogo. As everyone washes their shoes, they make sure Shii Ann is out of ear shot and then rip on her. Rob "can't wait to kick Shii Ann's ass off". Shii Ann talks with Rupert. She wouldn't mind seeing the big lug win. Rupert believes that with Rob in the picture, he will finish fourth. Rupert claims to know how the vote will go down at Tribal Council. Shii Ann further instills the threat Rob presents. Tom and Alicia conspire. They agree to stick together no matter what. Tom says they might as well. They haven't slept together but they have snuggled. Yuck. Yuck. Alicia: Has a deal with Rob but doesn't trust him. Rob and Tom plot. They have to decide who goes. They must win Immunity and have to think about kicking Rupert soon. Tom is worried that Rupert may form an alliance with Alicia and draw her in. Shii Ann poses less of a threat. Rob knows a target is painted on his back. Shii Ann sits down with Alicia. She tests out forming an alliance with 'Warrior Princess'. Alicia: "I don't' want to hear it. The plan hasn't changed." Shii Ann respects Alicia's answer. Immunity Challenge The players must stand on a log with one wrist chained to a bucket of water. It is an endurance challenge. The last contestant who doesn't pull their bucket down onto themselves wins. Reward

Chaboga Mogo Pre Tribal Council Happenings (Day 30) 'She-Devil' Shii Ann apologizes for her outburst. Jenna replies that everyone gets excited when they win Immunity. Everyone else just grinds their teeth. Alicia: Thinks it would've been better for Shii Ann to be calm and collected about the win. 'She Devil': Is down by the shore while everyone else is at the camp site. She enjoys watching them squirm. They should have formed alliances with her and not ignore her. 'She Devil': "Stupid, stupid players. Let me repeat that. Stupid, stupid players." In chatting with Rupert 'Blackbeard', Shii Ann encourages Rupert to make a move to take down Rob. He is the "kingpin", don't you know. 'Robfather': Has faith in the core Chapera Alliance. It could be Alicia going. It might be him. Am-bore and Shii Ann babble. 'She Devil' reminds Am-bore to beware of Jenna and Rupert. Am-bore states that she trusts Rob though.
Shii Ann: Am-bore is so cute. You hate to hate her. She is the most
shrewdest player though. 'Robfather': He knows Am-bore trusts him 100 per cent. He doesn't trust her like that though. She is playing a game and could be playing him. If so, he is the biggest sucker in history. Tribal Council Happenings Kathy and Lex appear to happy to see that Shii Ann has won Immunity. Shii Ann: Everything is out in the open. Alicia is fearful she is going home. Rupert: That was a hard challenge. He is aware of the bulls-eye on him. He could be going tonight. Shii Ann: No power shift at camp. Nobody is taking the leadership role but people are keeping secrets from each other. Jenna: Shii Ann is trying to make them sound dumb. Maybe they are just not revealing their strategies to her. Rob is nervous. He wishes he had Immunity. Rob votes for Alicia. Since their fight on Day Three, he has been waiting to cast this vote. "Au revoir, adios, arrivederci, sayonara...or as we say in Boston...See ya later." Final Voting
2. Rob Mariano: Alicia. 3. Tom Buchanan: Alicia. 4. Rupert Boneham: Alicia. 5. Jenna Lewis: Alicia. 6. Shii Ann Huang: Alicia. 7. Amber Brkich: Alicia.
Before leaving, Alicia states that someone turned on her and she will find out who that was. Shii Ann smiles at Kathy and Lex. They grin back. Parting Comments Television: "Here I sit voted out. Third member of the jury. I wish you all luck. As for Boston Rob, you had a handshake with me so I am really hoping you are not sitting at the final two because now I sit on the jury and believe me, when I have to decide who actually gets the million dollars, I am not going to make it easy." - Alicia Calaway. Internet "The first time I played SURVIVOR, I was going balls-out, trying to be the strongest person I could be, not too in control of my emotions. I don't have a lot of patience for people and stupidity, so I let a lot of things get to me. This time around, I bit my tongue a lot more, I walked away a lot more, kept my mouth quiet, listened more than I spoke, and eased back in the Challenges a lot so that I didn't look like such a threat. Some people may have liked that, some people may have not, but it got me six days further into this game than it did the first time. Instead of being the first member on the Jury, I am now the third member on the Jury. As long as I placed better than I did the first time, I'm perfectly happy with that. I have no qualms. The reason why I wanted to do SURVIVOR: ALL-STARS? Quite honestly, I didn't really say to myself, "I want to do SURVIVOR: ALL-STARS." I had to question myself; I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back and play this game again, because the first time was an amazing experience, and I'd like to preserve that. Maybe the second time around would not be so great for me. But on the flipside of that, I had to think, how would I feel if I pass up the opportunity to play the game again? I think that's something I may have regretted for the rest of my life: that I had the opportunity to try again, and I didn't. That pretty much made the decision for me. I don't want to regret anything in my life. So, I decided, "What the hell? Let's give it another go; let's try this one more time." You know what? I walk away from this experience knowing that this is something I could do, knowing that I can put myself to the ultimate test, knowing that I can put a goal in my head and I can achieve it, that I can bring myself there, that I can do what I have to do and focus on that to get myself where I want to be. Of course, I would have wanted to win the million dollars, but I did better than I did the first time. I learned from the mistakes I made in Australia, and I brought them here to Panama, and I played the game the way I thought I should play it, according to the mistakes that I made the first time, so that I don't reenact those again. So I learned from those mistakes, and I did play better. I totally feel I played better this time, so the end results are good ones. There are no problems there. I now get to sit on the Jury; this game is far from over for me. I am going to be listening in to everything that happens, and I get to have a hand in deciding who wins the million dollars. That decision is not going to be made without my input, and believe me, I'm going to give it. That's one thing I think people here know about me, that I shoot from the hip. I'm not fake, and I say what I feel, unless I walk away. If I'm quiet, that means I don't want to say anything. So I think they need to know now, the people I had an alliance with, that I am going to be deciding their fate, and I am not going to make it easy for them."- Alicia Calaway On the next 'Survivor': Television: "Jenna and Shii Ann want each other gone. At the camp fire, Jenna tells Shii Ann: I am not having plantains though. You want them. You can cook them yourself. Shii Ann: I want to strangle her. Jenna: When she opens her mouth I want to put a gun in mine. While Rupert and Jenna have been together too long. Rupert: She is just a pain in the ass and I am very sorry I have an alliance with her." Internet: "After a fight, one castaway declares regret for ever having made an alliance with a tribemate. To enjoy an overnight visit with their loved ones, the All-Stars are forced to watch their loved ones battle each other in the Reward Challenge. It's no holds barred as one All-Star calls out another for being the bossiest member of Chaboga Mogo. A tough struggle for individual Immunity comes down to a close finish. Who will be safe this week?". Powell's Thoughts: Ignore evil Mark Burnett's misdirection in the promo. Cast it from your mind. Pretend you never saw it. Yeah, right. Shii Ann is toast the first time she fails to win Immunity. Six days until that happens. Jenna is not going anywhere for the time being. Though Rupert may be miffed at her, she is his best chance at winning the million bucks. To cast her aside would be suicide considering how everyone else is paired up. With Shii Ann gone, it could be Tom, Rob and Amber facing Rupert and Jenna. If he had to choose sides, Tom is likely to side with Boston Rob. An Immunity win or Rob, Amber, Rupert and Jenna agreeing to turf Tom could change the complexion of the game too. Tom was low on Rupert's dinner list. That was very surprising and Boston Rob didn't seem to be troubled by that at all. Rob might be faced with two choices. Because of the information Lex leaked about Tom, take him out as he can't be trusted...or...keep Tom around to outnumber Rupert and Jenna. Jenna could also turn on Rupert and Tom. Owww! Head hurts. Too many possibilities. It will be curious to see how it all shakes out. It sure doesn't look good for Rob if and when he does make it to the final two. The jury appears to have it in for him. Settling old scores and all that crap. The one flaw in Rob's game is that he is not sending people packing with a certain amount of grace. That decision is spawning bad feelings in people who take losing extra hard this time around. The key is to orchestrate departures without the players directly blaming you. Didn't anybody learn anything from Big Brother Two's Will Kirby? Remember though, these Survivors are really cut-throat competitors. These are people who elected to battle for the Reward after Sue quit rather than share it amongst each other as Jenna requested. It is not out of the realm of possibility that they could reward Rob for his hardhearted gameplay.
